I'm reading Moroni chapter 8. I came to verse 14.
14 Behold I say unto you, that he that supposeth that little children need baptism is in the gall of bitterness and in the bonds of iniquity; for he hath neither faith, hope, nor charity; wherefore, should he be cut off while in the thought, he must go down to hell.
I saw the last phrase which I had highlighted and a note I had written.
The highlighted phrase:
wherefore, should he be cut off while in the thought, he must go down to hell.
My note I wrote:
Go down to Hell is probably not a statement of their final destination. It describes the emotional suffering when they see the light and truth of things and compare it to their own attitudes and beliefs they clung to and refused to replace with charity.
Just my thoughts.
